AC Porath at ReBuild Ukraine 2023
The war in Ukraine is still ongoing, but representatives of individual countries, international organizations, financial institutions, local authorities are already thinking about measures that will help Ukraine rebuild quickly. In this connection, the ReBuild Ukraine 2023 conference was held, at which AC Porath was not to be missed.
Poland the logistics HUB of Ukraine
The purpose of the ReBuild Ukraine 2023 conference was to present governmental, international and social offers for the reconstruction and development of Ukraine, systematically destroyed during the war. The topics of speeches and discussions focused on analytical studies of the destruction and the planned stages of reconstruction of houses, blocks of flats, and municipal and production infrastructure. The conference was attended by international organizations, financial and governmental institutions, representatives of countries, partner cities, heads of local authorities, associations. There were also communities from cities and regions of Ukraine most affected by the war and in need of assistance in rebuilding infrastructure, housing and normal living conditions in their country.
– For more than a year, hostilities have been taking place across our eastern border. Poland has become a logistics and transshipment hub for goods moving to and from Ukraine. The numerous conversations we had during ReBuild Ukraine confirmed that only joint efforts in planning a stable supply chain stand a chance of success for the whole process. It is primarily about organizing shipments in cooperation with the carrier, which from the very beginning assume all the necessary steps provided by customs law– explains Joanna Porath, owner of AC Porath customs agency.
Customs solutions
Efficient customs clearance at the Polish-Ukrainian border requires complete customs documentation, preparation for the necessary inspections and controls by state institutions, handing over to the driver a set of documents necessary for crossing the EU border, properly directing the driver to the customs authorities to declare the goods.
– During our discussions with manufacturers of building materials, ventilation and heating hubs, water treatment solutions, as well as construction and demolition machinery, we came to the conclusion that cooperation in the private sector with government support on both sides of the EU border is necessary- Joanna Porath adds.
